Packing Tips - How to Organise Your Camping Gear

camping equipmentOnce your camping holiday has ended it can be very easy to forget about your camping gear and equipment until next year. Once you get home the temptation can be to simply shove everything out of sight, and out of mind, until you need it again next year! Proper storage of your camping gear and equipment is essential to protect your items and ensure you get value for money.

Packing and storing camping gear properly can mean:

  • All items are accessible
  • No items can get damaged
  • You know where everything is
  • You are properly organised and ready for next year’s trip

How to pack camping gear properly

Here are some tips to help you:

  • Cleaning and airing – Make sure everything is clean and dry before you pack it away. Anything wet is most likely to stay wet when packed away and could lead to mould forming. This would provide a nasty surprise when you come to retrieve your items next year.
  • Separate – if you can, separate as many items as you can so that they are easily identified. Using individual bags for items such as awnings, poles, tent pegs, camping chairs, sleeping bags, gazebos and portable barbecues not only protects these items over the winter, but also makes them easy to identify. Some people like their camping equipment bags to be the same colour but having different coloured bags can make things easy to identify.

The benefits of using specific bags for camping equipment

  • Accessible – Because you have separated each item into an individual bag, you can easily find these items when you need to
  • Protection – Our camping gear bags will help protect items stored inside. We also have a selection of padded bags for items such as TVs and microwaves to help keep them protected whilst in storage.

Our camping equipment storage bags come in a range of standard sizes and can also be supplied as made to measure. Our aim is to protect your items and to make them easy to organise and transport.

Customer Comments
Thank you for the Cover. It has arrived and looks the part. We must now take it to France. I may send you a picture when it is fitted for your Archives as we found no similar cover in your displays and BBQs are not just chariot shape!!! In fact the table top or plancha BBQ are very popular in France and sold in large numbers without covers. Kindest regards.
