Job description
We are currently looking to recruit a Freelance Flatbed Sewing Machinist to manufacture contract work and bulk stock items using their own industrial sewing machine at own premises.
We manufacture storage bags and covers using a variety of waterproof fabrics to the leisure industry including camping, caravanning and motorhome industry. We specialise in high end outdoor garden furniture, BBQ covers, pizza oven covers etc.
It is essential that applicants have experience of operating a flatbed sewing machine, along with knowledge of the pace of work expected in UK manufacturing. Also, they must be able to check that finished work matches pattern instructions.
Workload would be on a flexible bases dictated by our volume of work which fluctuates throughout the year. Successful candidates could also have the opportunity to cover staff holidays in our workshop if available to do so.
Candidates would have to be local so they can collect work from our premises in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and then return when completed.
