Bags To Help Protect Your Items When Camping In A Tent

Camping is a traditional pastime and to some extent, remains untouched by advances in technology. Of course, tents are better quality, and there have been advances in the type of luxury camping equipment you can buy, but the essential premise of camping remains the same; sleeping on the ground under canvas.

The idea of camping is to get back to basics, but you do need some essential pieces of equipment to make your trip enjoyable and these all need packing and transporting.

Essential camping equipment for your tripcamping sleeping bag

A tent is a restricted space, and you will be without many of life’s basic essentials, therefore you need to be prepared, tidy and organised. Essential camping equipment ideas include:

  • Pegs – These are for securing your tent against the weather and to make sure its structure is maintained throughout your stay. A peg bag will keep them together ensuring you know where the spare pegs are when you need them.
  • Porta Potti – We know what this is for, and while most camp sites now have on-site toilet blocks, sometimes you just have to go. A bag or cover to keep this clean and discreet when not in use is essential.
  • Memory foam mattress –These are light, easy to carry and require no setting up. During the day you may pack it away in a bag to keep it clean or to create more usable space in the tent.
  • Camping chairs – Unlike a caravan, you have nowhere to sit in a tent, so you need camping chairs as a release from sitting on the floor. When packing away a camping chair bag will keep your chairs neat and easy to store.
  • Laundry bags – In a tent of any size you need to keep it tidy and organised, a separate laundry bag is a good way of doing this.
  • Sleeping bags –Like a mattress, you may choose to roll these up and pack them away during the day to create more living space, so a bag for this is really useful.
  • Boots – Camping is all about the great outdoors, but you don’t want to bring the outdoors back in with you. A bag in which to keep muddy boots and wellingtons will prevent your tent getting dirty and maintain a clean space for living and sleeping.
  • Barbecue – With the absence of any cooking facilities, a barbecue becomes an essential item. A bag to store it in when travelling or not in use will help keep it protected and easy to transport.

Thank you for the Cover. It has arrived and looks the part. We must now take it to France. I may send you a picture when it is fitted for your Archives as we found no similar cover in your displays and BBQs are not just chariot shape!!! In fact the table top or plancha BBQ are very popular in France and sold in large numbers without covers. Kindest regards.
